On-screen AT help, exactly when students need it.

Study Agent (AT Support) is a chat-style, on-screen assistant that helps disabled students use their DSA-funded assistive technology in real study tasks – from getting text-to-speech working on a scanned PDF to setting up dictation, mind-mapping or research tools.

It sits alongside AT training to give students clear, step-by-step “how-to” support 24/7, so they can refresh what they’ve learned and keep using their technology confidently and independently.

Who is it for?

Study Agent (AT Support) is designed for:

  • Disabled students who have been allocated assistive technology (e.g. mind-mapping, text-to-speech, dictation, note-taking, research and organisation tools).

  • Students who struggle to remember multi-step procedures shown in AT training.

  • Students with SpLDs (such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia) who benefit from simplified language and repeatable sequences.

  • Students with ADHD or attention-regulation challenges who need short, focused steps and minimal clutter.

  • Students with ASC, anxiety or mental health conditions who may find live help-seeking stressful.

  • Students with sensory, physical or long-term health conditions, fatigue or memory difficulties who need low-effort ways to re-enter AT workflows.
