Practical support throughout your apprenticeship
STUDY AGENT - APPRENTICE SUPPORT
On-demand support for learning, working and growing in confidence
Study Agent – Apprentice Support is a digital coaching and workplace strategy tool that helps apprentices manage the everyday demands of learning and working.
It turns unclear or overwhelming situations into small, practical next steps. Apprentices can use it to organise tasks, prepare for conversations, understand feedback and make more effective use of assistive technology and workplace adjustments.
SUPPORT THAT BUILDS INDEPENDENCE
Study Agent does not complete work for the apprentice. It supports their thinking, helping them build confidence, independence and workplace skills.
Support shaped around the individual

THREE SIMPLE STEPS
How Apprentice Support works
Explain what you are dealing with
The apprentice can describe a task, conversation or situation they are finding difficult.
“My manager has asked me to sort the client notes before Friday, but I’m not sure where to begin.”
1
Turn it into manageable steps
Study Agent helps the apprentice identify what is expected, what information they need and which action to take first.
It might help them create a checklist, organise their time or prepare a message asking their manager for clarification.
2
From an unclear or overwhelming situation to a realistic way forward.
Put the plan into action
The apprentice leaves with a clear and realistic plan they can follow independently. They can return whenever they need to review their progress, work through the next step or prepare for another workplace situation.
3
Practical support at the point of need
Apprentices can use Study Agent whenever they encounter a task, conversation or workplace situation they are unsure how to approach. It provides practical guidance at the point of need, helping them understand the situation, decide what to do next and move forward with greater confidence and independence.
Managing workload and overwhelm
When several tasks are competing for attention, Study Agent can help apprentices list their responsibilities, identify deadlines, prioritise tasks & choose a realistic first step.
This can be especially helpful between support sessions, when a mentor, job coach, tutor or line manager is not immediately available.
Preparing for meetings and reviews
Before a supervision meeting or progress review, apprentices can organise examples of completed work, identify concerns and prepare questions.
Afterwards, Study Agent can help turn their notes into actions, prioritise what needs to happen next and reflect on what went well.
Communicating at Work
Study Agent can help apprentices prepare to ask for help, query an instruction, request written guidance or discuss a reasonable adjustment.
It supports apprentices to find appropriate wording and build confidence in speaking for themselves.
Understanding Feedback
Receiving constructive feedback can sometimes feel difficult or overwhelming. Study Agent helps apprentices understand what has been said, separate their emotional response from the action required and decide what they could do differently next time.
Using assistive technology
Apprentices can ask how to apply their assistive technology to real workplace tasks.
For example, Study Agent can help them use:
